Violent storms explained

THE Meteorological Services Department has attributed the recent violent hailstorms experienced in some parts of the country to an organised band of disturbed weather that swept across the country from the western parts.

This week, two people were reported to have died while several others were injured in hailstorms in Rutenga Growth Point, Chiredzi and Gwanda.
