Utseya rises in ICC rankings

OFF-SPINNER Prosper Utseya has made significant strides up the Reliance International Cricket Council (ICC) One-Day International (ODI) Player Rankings following his impressive performance during the triangular series against Australia and South Africa.

Utseya, who took seven wickets during the tournament, including a memorable hat-trick against South Africa, leapt 10 places to position 34 while fast bowler Tendai Chatara gained 14 places to reach position 56.

There was no improvement by Zimbabwe’s batsmen on the rankings after the tri-series with Brendan Taylor maintaining his position as the country’s highest ranked batsman on position 30.
