Updates: Fireworks at Zanu PF conference

As the Zanu PF 15th National People’s Conference opens on Friday in Victoria Falls, there are reports the ruling party delegates are locked in intense factional battles ahead of the address by the party leader, President Robert Mugabe.

Elias Mambo and Richard Chidza in Victoria Falls report that there are plots and counter plots, changes to accreditation procedures including colour coding to guard against alleged “fake” delegates as some are reportedly booked in hotels in the neighbouring Zambian town of Livingstone.
