UFIC Easter Conference draws 60K worshippers

AN estimated 60 000 worshippers converged at the United Family International Church (UFIC) Basilica over the Easter weekend for the 2026 Passover Conference, cementing its status as one of Zimbabwe’s largest religious gatherings.

The three-day event, held from Good Friday to Easter Sunday, filled the 30 000-seat Basilica, with thousands more accommodated in overflow zones and external viewing areas.

Led by Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa, the conference combined worship, teachings on Jesus Christ and prophetic ministry, delivering what many described as a deeply moving spiritual experience.
