Tobacco sales near target

TOBACCO sales for the 2015 season are expected to reach the industry’s target of about 192 million kg with mop-up sales slated for next month.
According to the latest statistics from the Tobacco Industry and Marketing Board (TIMB), tobacco sales have reached 190 296 047 kg from 207 530 091 kg in 2014.
In an interview with NewsDay, TIMB chief executive officer Andrew Matibiri was hopeful the target would be met.
