Tension flares at Zim, Zambia border
NewsDay Staff ·

ZIMBABWEANS and Zambians living on either side of the Zambezi River clashed in a series of counter-protests against immigration authorities manning the Chirundu One Stop Border Post on Monday this week.
Tensions reportedly flared at the border post as Zimbabweans and their Zambian counterparts accused authorities at each country’s entrance and exit posts of a litany of transgressions. Zimbabwe and Zambia share one of Africa’s few one-stop border posts at Chirundu, which is also the busiest border between the neighbouring countries.
