TelOne dials Orange subsidiary

TelOne has signed a deal with a unit of French telecoms firm, Orange Group, to audit and analyse procurement contracts for its $98 million Huawei modernisation project, NewsDay has gathered.

The State-owned telecommunications firm is set to acquire equipment worth $98 million from Huawei under a China Exim Bank finance facility.

NewsDay was told yesterday that Orange’s unit Sofrecom had clinched the tender, whose selection process was administered by the State Procurement Board (SPB).
