Taylor for Sri Lanka

National cricket team captain Brendan Taylor is among a list of 56 foreign players who will feature in the inaugural Sri Lanka Premier League (SLPL).

Taylor, 26-year-old batsman, was signed by the Uthura Oryxes and is one of eight foreign players at the franchise together with Shakib Al Hasan, Kevon Cooper, Imran Farhat, Fidel Edwards, David Miller, Dillon du Preez and Samuel Badree.

The Uthura Oryxes, who will be captained by the legendary Sri Lankan spinner Muttiah Muralitharan, were purchased for $3,4 million in 2012 by Rudra Sports Private Limited.
