Sundowns deny Komphela rumour

TSHWANE – Mamelodi Sundowns are pouring cold water on suggestions they are attempting to lure Free State Stars coach Steve Komphela to replace Johan Neeskens.

Komphela, along with former Bafana Bafana coach Pitso Mosimane and Owen da Gama, have been touted as potential replacements for Neeskens, whose days are seemingly numbered after the “Brazilians”’ defeat to Platinum Stars this weekend.

Sundowns have now failed to win in any of their last eight matches, leaving them down in 15th position in the league standings.
