Spare a thought for senior citizens

REPORTS that government has failed for the second month running to pay pensions for senior citizens is a sad development that is not only worrying, but shameful to Zimbabwe.

More so, government’s failure to pay pensions comes at a time senior citizens are desperate for the money to prepare for the festive period and the onset of the rainy season.

It is without doubt that most of the retired government workers are subsistence farmers and would need the money to prepare for the farming season.
