Spare a thought for illegal vendors

The crackdown on all kinds of street vendors in Harare has become a political hot potato. It has sparked protests by some political groupings or camps within certain political parties who charge the crackdown is unwarranted and political.

The political overtones imported into the whole issue instil fear in the local authority, in this case Harare City Council.
