Sharks v WP in Currie Cup final

JOHANNESBURG — Western Province scored a last-minute try to beat the Golden Lions 21-16 in their nailbiting Currie Cup rugby semi-final at Coca-Cola Park on Saturday evening.

The Capetonians will face the Sharks at Kings Park in next week’s final after the Durban-based side beat the Blue Bulls 20-3 earlier in the day.

The Lions and Province exchanged blows in the opening minutes of the match as they were equally dangerous on attack.
