Shabba to miss Carling Cup
NewsDay Staff ·
JOHANNESBURG — Siphiwe Tshabalala faces a spell on the sidelines after sustaining a “nasty” injury in Kaizer Chiefs’ Gauteng Cup success at the weekend.
The Bafana Bafana winger pulled up injured in the 3-0 semi-final win over Moroka Swallows, and will now miss Saturday’s Carling Cup showdown with Orlando Pirates.
“It was a nasty one there for Tshabalala, but we’ll have to wait a couple of days before we can be sure how long he’ll be out,” Chiefs coach Stuart Baxter said in the Sowetan.
