Samkange hauled to court over pensions
NewsDay Staff ·
The National Social Security Authority (NSSA) has taken former Mashonaland West Governor Nelson Samkange to court over unpaid pension contributions.
Samkange, who made headlines two years ago when he led government officials on a wild
goose chase with claims a spirit medium could make diesel come out of a rock, allegedly owes NSSA over $3 000 from his Rukoba Farm in Banket
“The defendant defaulted in its statutory payments/contributions as from July 2009 up to June 2010 in the sum of $2 284,48, being the principal debt,” read the summons, adding that Samkange owed NSSA a further $888,32.
