Redcliff on fire

THERE was chaos in Torwood suburb yesterday as 18 families were evicted by Redcliff Municipality for defaulting on their rent payments.

The Freddy Kapuya-led council unleashed the Messenger of Court after obtaining a court order against unpaid tenants.

Council which is targeting to evict over 800 families for non-payment of rentals opened its onslaught by targeting the 18 families who owed an average of $600 each.
