Racism row at Catholic church

Racial discrimination is reported to have taken centre stage at Roman Catholic St Charles Luwanga Church in Ruwa, prompting more than 16 members of the church to sign a special petition over the matter.

Members of the church are said to have demanded to know why blacks were being transferred from the church while whites got preferential treatment.

This was revealed in State papers during the trial of St Charles Luwanga’s Centre Priest, Fermin Rodriguez, who was charged with malicious damage to property.
