Poetry Bulawayo hosts 12 poets

Poetry Bulawayo, an organisation set up to promote budding and established poets in the city, will this Friday evening hold a “Poetry Potpourri” session at Amal Restaurant.

The organisation’s founder and creative director Mgcini Nyoni said the aim of Friday’s session, which will feature 12 poets, was to “expose new talent and give a platform to established poets an opportunity to polish their act”.

Nyoni said Poetry Bulawayo believed it was essential to give poets an opportunity to showcase their live performance skills.
