Plumtree Town Council to demolish illegal structures from Friday

The Plumtree Town Council said it will begin demolishing illegal, unapproved, and unsightly structures on Friday after giving affected property owners and occupiers until today (Thursday) to pull them down themselves.

In a public notice issued on Wednesday, the local authority said the demolitions would target structures covered by previously issued demolition orders, following a court order cited as PTGL 31/24.

“Failure to do so will result in the council deploying its resources and personnel to carry out the removal of the structures, commencing on Friday, 30 October 2026, without further reminder,” the notice reads.
