Player of the week

ANESU Gondo stole the limelight on Sunday after scoring a brace to steer his team Dynamos to a comfortable 3-1 victory over city rivals Harare City in a Castle Lager Premiership football tie at the National Sports Stadium.

Former Triangle midfielder Walter Mukanga, who came in as a second half substitute to replace Devon Chafa, weighed in with the other goal as DeMbare leapt to the top of the league table after dislodging bitter rivals Highlanders, who were held to a 1-1 draw by coal miners Hwange.

But it was Gondo who made the headlines with his two goals — his first since joining the champions at the start of the season.
