Parliament champions’ wetland conservation

PARLIAMENT has launched the “Voices of Zimbabwe on Wetlands” campaign, putting community experiences and perspectives at the forefront of wetland management nationwide.

This initiative, supported by DanChurchAid and Conservation Conversations, aims to empower local voices and promote sustainable wetland conservation practices.

Community representatives shared their stories and insights with over 20 parliamentarians during the launch of the campaign, highlighting the importance of recognising local indigenous knowledge in wetland management.
