Muzarabani village head jailed 9 years over Pangolin scales 

Mazonde who is under Chief Kasekete will serve the whole mandatory sentence after he failed to proceed special circumstances.

Muzarabani, Mazonde village head Johannes Mazonde who was arrested after being found in possession of Pangolin scales was convicted and sentenced to nine years mandatory sentence by a Harare Court.

The court heard that on October 27 this year, at around 0700 hours, Detective Constable Manzini from CID MFFU Harare received information that the accused person was in possession of pangolin scales which he was offering for sale in Harare.
