Mpumalanga face Projects

Southern Region Division One football league pacesetters Mpumalanga look set to stretch their lead on the log standings when they date neighbours Projects in Hwange tomorrow.

Mpumalanga rule the roost with nine points from four games into the start of the season while newly-promoted Projects anchor the table with a single point after having played two matches and conceded six goals.

Last weekend, the side from the coal-mining town dispatched former Premiership outfit Zimbabwe Saints 2-0 in Hwange while Projects failed to fulfil their fixture against fellow newcomers Sizani Fruits and Veg in Bulawayo and are likely to be docked three points and face disciplinary action.
