Motorist jailed for slapping traffic cop

A 29-YEAR-OLD Marondera motorist has been sentenced to nine months in prison for slapping a traffic police officer, who had impounded his unlicensed vehicle.
Marondera magistrate Tatenda Makwanya found Shelton Makuwadza guilty of assault.
Makuwadza was last Friday convicted of slapping police officer, Phillip Chirenda, despite entering a plea of not guilty.
