Mketekete ready to mount challenge on Sunshine Tour

In-form local professional golfer Ignatius Mketekete believes he can mount a serious challenge on the Sunshine Tour in South Africa following his impressive run on the Golden Pilsner Zambezi Tour this season.

Mketekete has been in a class of his won this season and only last week completed his second consecutive win inside two weeks after capturing the third and final leg of the NetOne Golf Series by a massive eight shots at the Borrowdale Brooke Golf Course to capture the $3 400 winners’ cheque.

It was Mketekete’s second win inside a week after his playoff victory at the FSG Lowveld Pro-am in Triangle and Hippo Valley last weekend and his second in the three-legged NetOne golf series after his victory at the opening leg in Bulawayo in July.
