Minister sweats over spike in neonatal deaths 

Health and Child Care minister Douglas Mombeshora has revealed newborn deaths in Zimbabwe have increased as a result of financial constraints at the ministry following massive cuts in donor funding.

Mombeshora made the remarks at a 2027 pre-budget seminar in Bulawayo on Thursday. He said government had started to fill some of the funding gaps caused by shrinking donor support.
