Mid-term review pro-industry: CZI

THE mid-term fiscal policy review was pro-industry after the Finance ministry took on board submissions made by stakeholders, the Confederation of Zimbabwe Industries (CZI) has said.

In his Mid-Term Fiscal Policy Review statement, Finance minister Patrick Chinamasa introduced a raft of measures to boost local industries such as putting restrictions on the importation of basic commodities and banning the importation of second-hand clothing.

CZI president Busisa Moyo yesterday said the Mid-Term Fiscal Policy Review supported the local industry and most of the body’s submissions had been incorporated into the policy.
