Silas Nkala ·

BULAWAYO High Court judge, Justice Martin Makonese has dismissed an urgent chamber application filed by 55 Matobo villagers, challenging the alleged invasion of their grazing land by the Agricultural and Rural Development Authority (Arda) and Trek Petroleum (Private) Limited.

The applicants, Robert Mafu and his 54 colleagues, had through their lawyer, Kholwani Ngwenya, filed an application at the court on September 21 this year citing Arda and Trek as respondents.

The villagers had argued they owned the land adjacent to the Arda project.
