Matabeleland North Governor attacks Zanu PF officials

Matabeleland North governor and Zanu PF acting provincial chairperson Sithokozile Mathuthu has lashed out at senior provincial members for boycotting Independence Day celebrations at Somhlolo Stadium in Lupane.

In her closing remarks at the party’s provincial co-ordinating meeting in Lupane on Sunday, Mathuthu said it was embarrassing that members of other parties were more visible during the celebrations.

The boycott came amid reports of simmering divisions in the province where a fierce battle for power has been raging on in the last two years.
