Makamba to dispose stake in Telecel

SELF-exiled Zimbabwean businessman James Makamba’s business empire, Empowerment Corporation Private Limited (EC) has confirmed plans to dispose its 40% stake in Telecel Zimbabwe Limited (TZL) to a yet-to-be-identified buyer believed to be the Zanu PF government.

In emailed responses to NewsDay, EC corporate adviser Tapiwa Shamu confirmed that the parties were in discussion with potential buyers.
