Local Government chief director in US$19 000 allowance fraud storm

HARARE, Nov. 8 (NewsDay Live) — MINISTRY of Local Government and Public Works Chief Director of Local Authorities Khonzani Ncube and five other officials have appeared in court facing allegations of fraud involving double claims for travelling and subsistence allowances, prejudicing the State of ZWG360 644 and local authorities of US$19 419.

The six appeared before Harare magistrate Learnmore Mapiye at the Rotten Row Magistrates Court on Friday following their arrest by the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC).
