Loan shark dupes bigwigs

NewsDay Staff ·

Zanu PF bigwigs and prominent businesspeople fell prey to an alleged loan scheme run by controversial businessman Frank Buyanga.

High Court documents gleaned by NewsDay show that Zanu PF politburo members Transport minister Nicholas Goche and former Midlands governor Cephas Msipa, ex-Information minister Chen Chimutengwende and former Zanu PF Manicaland chairman Basil Nyabadza borrowed huge sums of money from Buyanga’s company — Hamilton Property Holdings.

Besides the politicians, former National Economic Consultative Forum spokesperson Dennis Rwafa and Boka Tobacco Auction Floors managing director Mathew Boka also accessed money from Buyanga’s firm.
