Large-scale State-sponsored violence feared

LOCAL civic society group, the Zimbabwe Peace Project (ZPP), says there has been an upsurge in cases of intra-party violence since February as Zanu PF and MDC-T prospective candidates jostled for posts in their parties’ primary elections.

In its latest report released last week, ZPP also said inter-party violence escalated in February as both parties intensified their membership drives ahead of harmonised elections expected later this year.
