Komichi trial deferred
NewsDay Staff ·
THE trial of MDC–T chief elections agent Morgan Komichi, who is accused of contravening the Electoral Act, failed to continue yesterday as the court was overwhelmed with a huge workload of matters to be heard.
Harare magistrate Tendai Mahwe postponed the matter to September 16 and said then, the matter would be allowed to continue for the entire week without interruptions.
Charges against Komichi arose on July 28, after he allegedly misrepresented that a sealed tamper-proof envelope with a special vote ballot paper had been picked up in a rubbish bin at the Harare International Conference Centre where the special vote was being processed.
