Kadzura payment wrangle turns political

NewsDay Staff ·

A wrangle between aspiring Zanu PF candidate for Mutare West Jonathan Kadzura and Harare businessman Laxton Chimedza over a business deal that went sour has turned political after the latter sought the intervention of Zanu PF politburo member Didymus Mutasa to assist him recover
$4 400 he claims Kadzura owes him.

Chimedza says his company, Latchim, supplied 30 tonnes of organic fertiliser worth $11 400 in November 2011 to Kadzura but the former Air Zimbabwe board chairman refused to pay the money in full.

We supplied fertiliser valued at $11 400 to Kadzura and after paying $7 000 he has since refused to pay a balance of $4 400 claiming we are now changing prices, said Chimedza.
