Judgment on fraud case postponed
Paidamoyo Muzulu ·
HARARE magistrate Francis Mapfumo yesterday postponed to next Monday the sentencing of a 59-year-old Harare woman convicted of fraud after the State counsel informed the court just before the magistrate started to read the sentence that she had a previous conviction.
The woman, Nancy Kutyauripo of Chitungwiza, was convicted on her own plea of guilty to defrauding a Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (Zimra) official of $12 000 in a well-orchestrated residential stand scam.
State counsel Sebastian Mutizirwa then told the court of the previous conviction just before Kutyauripo was sentenced.
