JSC reopens circuit courts
NewsDay Staff ·

THE Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has reopened several circuit courts that were closed due to shortage of critical staff at the height of the country’s economic meltdown in 2008.
JSC deputy secretary Rex Shana said several circuit courts were forced to close down because court officials were no longer able to travel to outlying areas due to shortages of staff, fuel and money.
“One of the major achievements of the JSC since they took over the administration of all the courts in Zimbabwe in 2010 is that we managed to reopen all the circuit courts which had been closed,” Shana said.
