Jilted Nkayi man gets life sentence for killing ex-girlfriend

NKAYI man, Sicelinkosi Masuku, has been sentenced to life imprisonment for fatally stabbing his former girlfriend, Princess Janet Ncube, after she dumped him for being abusive.

The High Court sitting in Hwange heard that Masuku stabbed Ncube 13 times in  January this year, killing her on the spot.

The court heard that the incident happened after Ncube had fled an abusive relationship with Masuku in South Africa in December 2025 and sought refuge at her mother’s homestead in Nkayi.
