Investing in Zimbabwe’s girls isn’t charity, it’s a national imperative

ON this International Day of the Girl, my thoughts are not on statistics, but on a single conversation. 

A few months ago, I visited a school in Epworth and observed a group of teenage girls, buzzing with energy, huddled over a science experiment. 

I asked one of them about her future aspirations.
