Hwange councillor raises alarm over idle contractors on Byo-Vic Falls highway

Hwange Ward 3 councillor Givemeagain Moyo has raised concerns over the slow pace of rehabilitation works on the Bulawayo-Victoria Falls highway, saying idle construction equipment and prolonged detours are disrupting tourism, business and access to healthcare.

Moyo said the strategic highway, which links Victoria Falls with Bulawayo and neighbouring countries to the north, had deteriorated to the extent that motorists were facing lengthy and difficult journeys.
