Gunda saga sucks in Mnangagwa

NewsDay Staff ·

Defence minister Emmerson Mnangagwa has been sucked into the ongoing legal battle in which the Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA) is seeking to evict the widow of the late national hero, Brigadier General Paul Armstrong Gunda, from a government house she is staying at in Bulawayo.

In court papers filed at the High Court, Mnangagwa, also a Zanu PF politburo member, is cited as the applicant while Gunda’s widow Rangarirai Tatenda is the respondent in the case.

Bulawayo High Court judge Justice Lawrence Kamocha heard submissions from both the state and Gunda’s widow yesterday.
