Govt calls for mine ventilation audit

MINES and Mining Development Deputy minister Fred Moyo has called for a baseline study across Zimbabwe’s mining sector to establish whether mines have adequate ventilation personnel and whether the profession is given sufficient priority in organisational structures.

Moyo said the proposed study should cover different classes of mines and establish where ventilation departments are positioned within their management structures.
