Fugitive machete-weilding murder suspect nabbed

POLICE in Kwekwe have arrested one of the suspects linked to the machete-wielding group of illegal panners accused of leading a terror campaign against their rivals in Amaveni suburb.

Likhwa Ngwenya (23), who has been on the run following the murder of Washington Dick in a bloody machete fight late last year, was trapped and arrested at a traditional healer’s house on Friday.

Ngwenya was remanded in custody to February 1, when he appeared before magistrate Vimbai Mutukwa, facing a murder charge.
