‘Food handouts politicised’

SENATORS across the political divide on Tuesday said food distribution to hunger-stricken areas in Zimbabwe was inadequate and in some circumstances politicised.

Debating a motion on the Presidential speech, Matobo Senator Sithembile Mlotshwa said her constituency and other areas like Plumtree and Mangwe had suffered severe droughts, but implementation of food aid programmes in those areas was highly politicised.
