Fired cop sues police bosses

A former Bulawayo police detective, Sergeant Farai Bazil Nyapokoto, has sued his superiors for contempt of court after they defied a High Court order and barred him from entering his official residence at Ross Camp.

Nyapokoto was fired from the police force on June 16 2009 and evicted from Ross Camp in Bulawayo after he exposed the alleged killing of two suspected armed robbers in police custody.

Nyapokoto allegedly exposed the incident when he testified in court that the suspects were killed by his colleagues on duty on the fateful day.
