Exhumations have sinister motive: Zapu

The Zimbabwe People’s Revolutionary Army (Zipra) Veterans Trust has ordered Zanu PF to stop the ongoing exhumation of remains of war victims in Mt Darwin describing the process as chaotic and bent on distorting liberation war history.

Zipra Veterans Trust leader Lazarus Ray Ncube told NewsDay his organisation had dispatched a team to observe the exhumations.

“Ex-Zipra combatants dispatched a team from Harare on March 18 2011 to the scene of exhumations and they reported that the process was chaotic and wantonly dismembered the human remains as the manpower involved in the process is neither trained nor equipped to carry out this specialised task,” he said.
