European Union to host film festival

THE European Union (EU) in Zimbabwe, in partnership with 11 member states, is set to host an inaugural five-day film festival from May 16 to 20 at Theatre in the Park, Harare Gardens.
The festival organisers said they will be screening an acclaimed assortment of films from across Europe that will present film enthusiasts with vivid pictures of Europe’s societies in their all-encompassing facets and cultures, paying tribute to the common traits of human nature.
In a statement, the head of the EU delegation to Zimbabwe, Ambassador Philippe Van Damme said they were happy to be bringing the festival which he said will be assorted and cultural.
