Eto’o to miss crucial qualifiers

NewsDay Staff ·

INJURED this weekend against CSKA Moscow in the Russian’s Cup final with Anzhi Makhachkala, Cameroon’s skipper Samuel Eto’o is doubtful for the two upcoming 2014 World Cup qualifiers.

The Indomitable Lions will face Togo in Lomé before heading to Kinshasa to battle with the Democratic Republic of Congo, without their legendary striker and charismatic captain.

Anzhi notified the Cameroonian Football Federation on Saturday of Eto’o’s problems, mentioning injuries “on the left hamstrings, the insertion of the left adductor and the right hip”.
