Employees drag Kuruneri to court over salaries, back pay

Xolisani Ncube ·

Former Finance minister Cris Kuruneri’s company, Quality Packaging Products, has been dragged to court by its workers following his alleged failure to pay salaries and back pay.

The deputy sheriff identified in court papers only as Zvidzai last month failed to attach the company’s property after a senior police officer (name withheld) allegedly blocked him from accessing the building.

The workers, represented by labour lawyer Munyaradzi Gwisai, want Kuruneri to pay them $80 000 as back pay before paying their salaries which they last received four years ago.
