De Jonge rakes in $1,1 million

ZIMBABWE’S leading golfer Brendon de Jonge has vowed to bounce back stronger and qualify for next year’s edition of the biennial Presidents Cup in South Korea after a disappointing 2014 season on the US PGA Tour.

Despite earning a whopping $1 171 395 in 31 events on the money-spinning PGA Tour this season, the 34-year-old Harare-born golfer endured his worst season in five years.

Since the 2009 season, De Jonge had never finished no worse than position 60 on the FedEx Cup standing but this season he finished a distant 91st position.
