Dad rapes, impregnates daughter

A 42-YEAR-OLD man from Seke communal areas appeared at the Chitungwiza Magistrates’ Court yesterday charged with raping and impregnating his 16-year-old daughter.

The suspect (name withheld), who is facing three counts of rape, was not asked to plead when he appeared before regional magistrate Estere Chivasa, who remanded him in custody for trial in a fortnight.

Prosecutor Loveti Muringwa said sometime in January this year and at the family’s house in the rural areas, the suspect went to where his daughter was seated and commended her for keeping a beautiful skin.
